Joshna Ramakrishnan started yoga as a kid and grew with it as a teenager, mastering asana practice at a very young age led her to question and learn about the philosophy of yoga as a young adult. At the age of 21, after she finished her graduation as a computer engineer, life took a big turn for her as she started to question the existence and reality. She left the country for China to teach yoga and returned to India after a short stint to study more, she travelled far and wide in India from the Himalayas to Mysore to study with different masters of art to understand the essence of yoga.

Day 1 – Masai Mara Reserve

Karibu Kenya! Welcome to Kenya! After your breakfast we will kick off for a new adventure to the world-famous Masai Mara Reserve to spot the BIG FIVE (lion, leopard, rhinoceros, elephant and cape buffalo). For late lunch we will check in to our unique Luxury Tented Camp, situated inside the Masai Mara reserve and go for our first afternoon game drive. Have an unforgettable night in your luxury safari tent, tastefully decorated in African themed décor, large comfortable beds with Egyptian cotton whites, a private veranda and a fully functional bathroom with a safari style shower in the middle of the savannah. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 2 – Masai Mara Reserve

Our morning starts with a morning yoga class before we enjoy our delicious and delightful breakfast and kick off for a morning game drive in Masai Mara. For lunch we will check in and have a rest in our lovely camp. After our afternoon game drive, we will visit one of the most famous tribes in Kenya – the Maasai. This nomadic warrior tribe is one of the only tribes still retaining many of their traditions, as they live largely unaffected by modern day civilization. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 3 Masai Mara Reserve

Start your morning with a sunrise yoga and a bush breakfast in the savannah while capturing panoramic views of fascinating wildlife and majestic savannah plains. Make sure your camera is fully charged to capture each and every spectacular moment on our full day game drive in Masai Mara. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 4 Masai Mara Reserve

Reenergize your body in the magical atmosphere of the savannah while our mindful morning yoga class and morning en-route game drive. Enjoy the scenic views as we drive through the Rift Valley. We will arrive at our hotel in Nairobi in the late afternoon. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 5 Lamu Island

Morning flight to Lamu. A boat awaits us to take us to the magical island, where no cars are allowed. Enjoy your welcoming drink and fruits at your house in Swahili Style. Just relax and recharge your body with new positive energy while our yoga class. (B, L, D)

Day 6 Lamu Island

Today is your day! Start the day with a yoga class. After your breakfast you can create your day in a way that it retreats your soul! Smile and appreciate every single moment! Take a swim in the Indian Ocean, go snorkelling or visit the museum in Lamu town. End your day while watching the sunset and drinking a glass of wine on your sunset sail! (B, L, D)
Optional Activities: Lamu Town Visit, Snorkeling, Windsurf, Sail, Manicure, Massage, etc.

Day 7 Lamu Island

Wake up recharged and join the ladies for an early morning walk through the dunes while the sun is rising up and meditation class. Capture the smell of the ocean, the sound of the waves and the birds, the feeling of walking bare foot on the beach and the energy from the sun light. Catch your flight back to Nairobi and check into your hotel. (B, L, D)

Day 8 Nairobi

Our beautiful wellness yoga safari has already come to an end, but your journey to create a life, which will completely fulfil you, has just started. After our breakfast, additional activities in Nairobi or around can be arranged. Optional you are more than welcome to continue your journey with Joshna Ramakrishnan for her Yoga Training at the Umoja Women’s Village. Airport transfer will be arranged to take you back home to start your new life chapter. (Breakfast only)

4 Days Masai Mara


  • All game drives and park fees to include government taxes.

After 4 years of traveling solo in Kenya, living within a Maasai family, 
in the Umoja women’s village and volunteering in a slum, Sinja Stoetzner 
moved to Kenya and decided to give other female solo traveler like her 
the opportunity to travel to Kenya. She will personally guide you, 
share her experience and take care of your security.
